Some thoughts from the road…

Being versus Having (thanks for the reminder Matt)
Eating just enough versus all you can eat.
Doing the right thing versus merely not doing something illegal.
Humanity versus Entitlement.
Applying oneself and working hard versus counting on one’s talent.
(What’s true for talent also goes for beauty and inherited intelligence, which are also just lucky gen-lottery results. If one relies on them exclusively one steers into trouble.)

I had a discussion with a friend of mine last night. He claims it is easier to do wrong than it is to do right. I disagree completely the act itself may be easy or hard, but the decision/choice to do the right thing or the wrong thing is always on an equal playing field. Such as eating too much, doing something illegal or being selfish. It is never hard for me to make the choice to go left or right although the road I choose may be bumpy or smooth. I hope this is understandable.

Wisdom to always keep in mind, and good ways to guide our children Also some of the things that make you who you are, and that’s the honest, open caring person you are, a person who has real friends and associates.
