Engineer Gary Lyons used only what he found on the original multi-track tapes. Nothing new was added, however, the original 1/2" analog tapes were copied to 2" analog tape. With only minor changes, the running order of the limited edition release Marita: Shadows and Storms, which preceded Nouveau Flamenco by about 6 months, was duplicated.
