Santa Barbara last night We played at the little SOhO club on State Street last night. It turned out to be good fun - it always helps to serve up good food like the restaurant of the SOhO did!! The place was packed and loads of people were standing outside on the terrace, looking and listening in through an open door. On my first ever evening in New York, May 17th 1979, a friend took me to the Village and I spent an hour on stairs outside a Jazz club, listening through the open door...what a great first night in America that was! Anyway, onwards to San Francisco tomorrow.
