Thank you all... A big thank you to all of the people who attended our concerts in June and July. The touring industry seems to be in a slump this summer and people are talking about a ten-year low, but we did well thanks to you. A special thanks goes out to our fantastic Santa Fe and New Mexico audience, who filled the Paolo Soleri Amphitheater last night, even though the concert was scheduled only 2 1/2 weeks ago, even though it was ignored by the local media, and even though very little advertising was done. Thank you for a lovely evening and a great welcome home.   1:54:26 PM     Fan Foto Blog This could really happen. Every interested fan would have to open a Blogger account and a Flickr account, both free, and would then be given a special email address for their cell phone. After snapping a photo the fan could immediately send the picture via that email address to their Flickr account, which would in turn send code to Blogger, where the photo would also appear. In other words, the photo would show up in two places, the individual's personal Flickr page and the Luna Negra Fan Blog at Blogger page. This will ensure that, should I slip and fall during a concert, everyone can see a photo of my misfortune at once... I will try to write up some detailed instructions, hopefully with the help of Eric @ Blogger, and Stewart @ Flickr, and will post them once it's all figured out. Of course some people could post pictures others don't find suitable. I would hope that you all will help us monitor the Fan Blog, so that we can erase any offensive material. To me this is an experiment worthy of trying, but I am also ready to kill the site without notice if I find that people are abusing the Fan Blog. I would think that we should start with as few rules as possible and see where that takes us. I know what the first rule should be: Absolutely NO FLASH. As I am going to be mixing two different projects over the next few weeks, it might take a while before the Fan Foto Blog comes together, but we should be able to get this together in time for the second leg of the tour. In the meantime, you can check whether you can email photos from your phone...   1:41:54 PM     Wilber on the Matrix So last month, Ken and Cornel flew to Los Angeles, and while watching all 3 films, gave 16 hours of commentary. This was edited down to 6 hours to fit the 3 films, and this commentary will be part of the Matrix trilogy box set soon to be released. Listening to Ken's commentary on the Matrix will be such a great way to see those movies again. Off to amazon to pre-order the box-set.... The Integral Naked dialogue that will be aired here on July 19 is a conversation that Ken and Larry had right before Ken left for L.A. to do the commentary with Cornel. This is the first of an ongoing series of discussions that, at a future date, will deal with some of Larry's own thoughts on the meaning of the Matrix and its reception.   10:04:56 AM     Fan Photo Blog? Maybe we could take this a step further and set up a special blog for fans to post their cellphone cam pictures of our performances. Food for thought.   12:45:03 AM     Band + Crew Diary I am turning my Emergency Diary into a Band and Crew Diary - with a link on the right. Band and crew members have been invited to write and post photos with their cell phones. We will have everyone set up in time for the second leg of the tour. Maybe pics will be posted while we are performing - like I did tonight.
